In 2004 we were blessed to move from Palm Harbor, Clearwater area to the Bradenton, Sarasota area. A new job for Dan at the boat trailer company brought us here to be near our newly married daughter. It was thrilling to be here for the birth of each of the grandchildren and be able to be involved in their lives. Not to mention that being grandparents is sure a lot of fun!

I was involved in a ministry and served on the board of directors for 10 years. Dan and i are part of a small Bible Study that meets up once a month. Being involved in this 11 yrs now has truly enriched our lives and our walk with God.

The past 30 years I’ve enjoyed baking over 1000 cookies at Christmas and hope to continue for family, friends, and churches. I have gotten to be known as the "cookie lady" in several churches in the area.

I help at our church’s monthly senior luncheon, serving, talking, and enjoying friendships with the elderly. Watching them all having a good time brings joy to my heart. I also encourage them to come to lunch with Dan and I on Sunday after church services to form new friendships.

10 yrs ago I organized a "lets go to dinner" group with friends from different churches. We have had anywhere from 12 to 18 people in our group. Every month I plan, contact, and choose restaurants usually based on reviews, keeping locations in mind, and keep up with which new ones are coming. Every one has been pleased all these years and there is no slowing down. I thoroughly enjoy bringing people together.

Dan and I enjoy 50’s, 60’s music and just being together. Playing cards, reading, sewing, and taking free classes on line are things I like to do.
